Gama Aviation is proud to announce its appointment as an Embraer Authorised Service Centre (EASC) for the ERJ145 commercial aircraft family. This significant new designation builds on our business jet EASC status earned in October 2024, further strengthening our role as a full-spectrum Embraer MRO partner.

Expanded maintenance capabilities

The ERJ145 is the largest member of the original Embraer Regional Jet (ERJ) family, capable of seating up to 50 passengers in a single-class layout and offering a maximum range of approximately 1,550 nm (around 2,870 km) in its Long Range (LR) variant.

Since entering service over 20 years ago, the ERJ145 has amassed more than 26 million flight hours in service with carriers in 26 countries (source: embraer.com.)

This EASC appointment authorises Gama Aviation to undertake both base maintenance — including scheduled heavy checks and major airframe works — and line maintenance tasks on ERJ145 aircraft. These services will be delivered from our UK facilities in Bournemouth and support line stations at Farnborough and Luton, as well as at our Sharjah International Airport base in the UAE, serving as a regional hub for both line and base support across the Middle East.

Careers

Paul Kinch, Managing Director MRO, commented:
“Securing this approval required a significant team effort and marks another major step in our MRO growth strategy. We now offer OEM-approved support for ERJ145 aircraft across our UK and Sharjah facilities — delivering reliability, regulatory compliance, and service quality to both business and commercial aviation customers.”

Why the ERJ145 matters

With its commonality across the ERJ 135 and ERJ 140 variants and proven reliability in regional airline operations, the ERJ 145 remains a core platform in Embraer’s legacy product portfolio. Operators continue to benefit from its flexibility, cost-efficiency, and maintainability, making it a foundational regional capacity solution.

Filipe Afonso, Head of Compliance MRO, commented:
“Achieving Embraer Authorised Service Centre status for the ERJ145 represents a clear endorsement of our compliance culture and regulatory discipline. Our teams have worked diligently to align our procedures, documentation, and quality systems to meet the highest OEM and aviation authority standards. This approval reinforces the robustness of our Part 145 operations across both the UK and UAE.”

Commitment to excellence

This latest addition to our Embraer-approved maintenance portfolio complements our established support capabilities for Embraer business jets — including Phenom and Legacy series — at Bournemouth and Sharjah. It further demonstrates our continued investment in infrastructure, skilled resources, and regulatory approvals to meet operator needs worldwide.
