Gama Aviation proud to join IBAC as an Industry Partner
Gama Aviation is proud to join the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) as an Industry Partner, reinforcing our commitment to shaping the future of business aviation services worldwide.
The announcement was formalised during EBACE 2025, held in Geneva this May, where Graham Williamson, Managing Director of Aircraft Management & Charter, signed the agreement on behalf of Gama Aviation. The partnership allows the company to play a more active role in the development of international standards and regulatory frameworks that govern the business aviation sector.
About IBAC
Founded in 1981 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, IBAC is a non-profit international trade association that represents the interests of business aviation at the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)—a specialised agency of the United Nations responsible for establishing global aviation standards.
IBAC’s membership includes 15 national and regional business aviation associations, including the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), the British Business & General Aviation Association (BBGA), and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in the United States.
In addition to its association members, IBAC’s Industry Partner Programme brings together a select group of aviation services organisations and OEMs who contribute expertise and advocacy to support the development of international standards. Current Industry Partners include Bombardier, Jet Aviation, and Jet Support Services Inc. (JSSI)—organisations that, like Gama Aviation, are committed to operational excellence, safety, and sustainability.
Why it matters
With operations spanning aircraft management, charter, MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), and FBO (fixed-base operations), Gama Aviation supports clients across the full lifecycle of business aviation services. The company also delivers critical capabilities through its Special Mission teams and Technology & Outsourcing (T&O) division. The decision to join IBAC reflects a strategic commitment to ensuring the needs of business aviation services providers are considered in the development of international regulation.
Graham Williamson commented:
“Our participation in IBAC’s Industry Partner Programme provides Gama Aviation with an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of global standards. Business aviation has unique operational needs, and it’s vital these are understood and reflected at the regulatory level. We’re committed to representing those interests through our involvement with IBAC.”
Marwan Khalek, Founder & Group CEO, added:
“As a multinational aviation services business, we have a responsibility to help shape the environment in which we operate on behalf of our clients, whether they are high net worth individuals or government agencies. To achieve this aim, we must contribute to and support the strategic direction of various industry trade bodies in the local, regional and international domains. Our association with IBAC provides a valuable platform to achieve just that — ensuring business aviation has a strong, credible voice at the highest level of international aviation governance.”
