Gama Aviation introduces new bespoke FBO uniform as part of our continued investment in client experience
Our new bespoke FBO uniform is about much more than creating a consistent look. Designed around our people and the roles they perform, it is another visible expression of the culture, pride and commitment to client experience we are building through the Red Thread Academy.
We have introduced a new bespoke uniform across our FBO network, but for us, this project has never simply been about changing what our teams wear.
It is about how our people feel when they represent Gama Aviation, the pride and confidence that it creates, and how those details ultimately influence the experience we provide for our clients and crews.
Our new collection is one of the most visible expressions of the culture we are continuing to build through the Red Thread Academy, created and led by Evie Freeman, our Group Director of Client Experience.
The Red Thread takes its name from our ambition to create a continuous thread of experience that connects every client touchpoint, regardless of location, department, or service line.
It recognises that technical excellence and operational performance are expected in business aviation. What can differentiate an experience is often something much more human: attentiveness, anticipation, personalisation and how we make someone feel.
Through the Red Thread Academy, we are developing the behaviours, leadership mindset and practical tools that help our people understand not only what they do, but why every interaction matters to the overall client experience.
Our new FBO uniform brings another dimension to that work. It makes part of that culture visible.
Designed around our people
Creating a recognisable Gama Aviation identity across our FBO network was an important part of the brief. But consistency should not mean asking every individual to look or feel the same.
From the outset, we wanted the collection to work around our people.
That is why we took a bespoke approach, developing a range of garments with different styles, fits and sizing options. This gives our colleagues greater choice in what they wear, allowing them to select a uniform that works for them, supports the practical demands of their role and gives them confidence in how they represent Gama Aviation.
The individual choices may vary, but the standard does not.
Professionalism, attention to detail and pride remain consistent throughout the collection, while recognising the individuality and expertise each person brings to their role.
It is an approach captured within our new FBO Uniform Guide through a simple principle:
A shared standard, worn with pride.
Our colleagues’ response has been extremely positive. Our teams have particularly welcomed the fit, choice and comfort offered by the collection, alongside the sense of pride and connection that comes from wearing something developed specifically for them and their working environment.
As Evie Freeman, Group Director of Client Experience, explains:
“When we talk about creating exceptional client experiences, we have to start with our people. How they feel, the confidence they have and the pride they take in representing Gama Aviation all influence the experience they create for somebody else.
“That is why this was never simply about choosing a new uniform. We wanted to create something around our colleagues, giving them choice and recognising their individuality while establishing a shared standard that connects our teams.
“It is another way we are bringing the Red Thread to life. From the way we communicate and personalise an interaction to how we present ourselves, all of those details contribute to how someone feels when they experience Gama Aviation.”
Creating a recognisable experience across our FBO network
Our new uniform is now being worn by colleagues at our FBO locations in the UK and our Business Aviation Centre in Sharjah, bringing another recognisable element of the Gama Aviation experience across our network.
Our Glasgow collection is currently in production as the rollout continues.
Importantly, our ambition is not for every colleague to look identical.
Wherever a client or crew member encounters Gama Aviation, they recognise the same attention to detail, professionalism, and sense of identity, delivered by people confident enough to bring their own personality, expertise, and judgement to every interaction.
That distinction matters.
Through the Red Thread Academy, we are not seeking to script hospitality. We are building a culture in which exceptional service becomes instinctive, personal and attentive, and where our people feel empowered to create experiences rather than simply complete transactions.
Making the Red Thread visible
Our new FBO uniform is ultimately one part of a much bigger ambition.
Through the Red Thread Academy, we continue to invest in the people, culture, and behaviours that shape how clients experience Gama Aviation. It recognises that every interaction, however small, contributes to someone’s overall perception of our brand.
The uniform makes that commitment visible.
A shared identity without removing individuality. A consistent standard without making the experience feel standardised.
And a uniform designed not simply around how we want our people to look, but around how we want them to feel when representing Gama Aviation.
Because creating a memorable client experience is rarely about one grand gesture. It is the accumulation of details, interactions and moments that connect throughout a client’s journey.
That is the Red Thread client experience programme.
One team. One standard. One exceptional client experience.
