Position: Unlicensed Engineer

Location: Fairoaks Airport, UK

Salary: up to £35,000 (maximum) dependent on experience

Reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, Fairoaks

To carry out scheduled inspections, defect rectification, repairs and modifications.

 Key Responsibilities and accountabilities

 

  • Comply with all procedures detailed within GAEL Maintenance Organisation Exposition
  • Comply with all company health and safety policies, procedures and COSHH requirements.
  • Comply with all procedures listed in the current Staff Company Handbook.
  • Carry out assigned inspection, maintenance and modification of aircraft as requested by line manager, certifying engineers & crew chiefs.
  • Clearly record on worksheets details of all work carried out. The level of detail must accurately reflect and substantiate the total hours booked against the assigned task.
  • Complete a daily timesheet with sufficient detail to substantiate all work carried out, productive or otherwise.
  • When on site in Fairoaks, input daily all hours worked in to the computer based recording system (currently ‘Envision’)
  • When not assigned duties, fully utilize all available time productively to support the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Ensure all tooling and equipment is fit for purpose and/or in calibration prior to use.
  • Report defects with tooling and equipment directly to line manager.

 

The Person:

Recent experience of at least three years on aircraft maintenance on the types supported by GAEL, such as routine servicing, rectification and inspections.

Must have excellent communication, team work and customer relationship skills.

Hours:                Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
