Boeing Business Jet

1: Returning a BBJ back to service

One Friday evening a Boeing 737 BBJ arrived with defect rectifications required after a long flight schedule. The owner required the aircraft to be serviceable again for a trip in two days’ time. Despite a series of time consuming and complex changes the aircraft was released to service for the flight. The engineers, had of course, worked the weekend to make this happen.

2: Addressing a cabin defect that was detrimental to the client experience.

We regularly find that passenger convenience items take almost the same priority as technical failures, which ground the aircraft. On this occasion a Global XRS landed with a few notable cabin defects (directly effecting the passenger experience, but not grounding the aircraft), our team were immediately dispatched to the airport, rectifying the issues and returned the aircraft to service the same day.


3: Co-operation in order to recover a valuable aircraft to service.

A defect grounded a competitors Global 6000 with no immediate ground support available from their own MRO team. After the ‘hail Mary’ call we received, our own team was rescheduled to come in at midnight (when the spares where due) and work through the night to ensure the aircraft was available the next morning. The aircraft was released on time at 0500L for a 0900L flight.

4: Recovering a Bombardier Global XRS to service during a busy flying period.

A third party customer’s Global XRS flew into our Sharjah base with a defect. The aircraft was on the ground for only one day, during which an investigation was carried out, defect MELd, parts ordered and the aircraft departed to Bahrain. The next day we flew an engineer with the parts to Bahrain, met the aircraft on arrival, and replaced the parts and returned the aircraft to service that same day.
