/ Position: Accounts Manager

/ Location: Farnborough

/ Salary: £31,000 – £33,000 – dependent on experience and qualifications

Job Information:

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Europe, responsibility for the oversight of the Gama Aviation (Engineering) Ltd payables, receivables, cash book and intercompany functions.

/ The Role:

  • Management of the accounts payable function:
  • Ensure processes and systems are in place to allow the fast, accurate and complete authorising and scanning of all supplier invoices, delivery notes and tech logs on to the document management system
  • Control of ledger balances, supplier account reconciliations, supplier payments and supervision of the local payables team
  • Responsibility for complete and reconciled AP reports monthly
  • Oversight of the accounts receivable process and credit control reporting with business managers
  • Cash book reconciliation of all Gama Aviation (Engineering) Ltd accounts
  • Oversight of the recharge of all intercompany costs and services from both the operating company and the group, monthly reconciliation of all positions. This is high volume and at times complex, due to the UK often providing credit facilities and acting as the financier to start up companies
  • Support to the Finance Manager & Finance Controller with cash flow reporting and to deputise as required
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving as required in other group companies
  • Payroll processing and reconciliation of all related control accounts
  • Assistance with providing detailed Financial reports to Senior Management team
  • Assistance with Year End Audit Schedules

 

 / The Person:

  • Part Qualified or Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2 of those spent in a supervisory role
  • Systems proficiency in Excel and a solid working understanding of accounts software packages
  • A strong character able to manage suppliers in what can be demanding circumstances
  • Ability to work with a variety of departments and people at all levels
  • A focused and determined individual who can oversee the processing of very large volumes of transactions, managing a team of people and an outsourced function overseas
  • Must have the desire to be hands-on as required
  • Ability to work in a complex operating environment and engender confidence through your involvement with department heads, senior management and financial staff
  • Confident individual with strong communication skills at all levels and across all disciplines
  • Experience of working on Management Accounts

Hours:  Full time hours between 08.30 and 17.00, Monday to Friday

Salary:  £31,000  – £33,000 per annum – dependent on experience and qualifications
